G. W. Bitzer byl americký kameraman, známý především svou prací pro D. W. Griffitha. Na začátku své profesní dráhy pracoval pro American Mutoscope and Biograph Company, první čistě filmovou produkční společnost v USA, pro kterou natočil i film z čerstvě otevřeného newyorského metra.
