Vášnivý milostný příběh o skutečném setkání mladé Jane Austenové a Toma Lefroye, který pravděpodobně inspiroval její největší romány. Roku 1795 byl pro mladou anglickou dámu hlavním životním cílem sňatek s bohatým mužem. Jane Austen (Anne Hathaway) však věří na lásku.
