Thriller Afterwards je natočen podle novely "Et apres..." francouzského spisovatele Guillauma Mussa. Nathan Del Amicoc (Romain Duris) je vynikající a úspěšný newyorský právník. Jeho osobní život je však chmurný od té doby, co se rozvedl s Claire (Evangeline Lilly), jeho jedinou láskou. Až do chvíle, kdy potká záhadného doktora Garretta Goodriche (John Malkovich), jenž se mu představuje jako "posel". Goodrich tvrdí, že dokáže pomocí svých smyslů určit, kdy jistí lidé zemřou a že je poslán, aby jim pomohl, dokud není pozdě. Nathan mu nevěří ani slovo, ovšem brzy poté je svědkem několika znepokoujících událostí, jež Goodrichova slova potvrdí. (Banger888)
