Tento animovaný film z žánru Mecha Anime režiséra Tommyho Yune je pokračováním televizního seriálu Robotech z roku 1985. Příběh se točí okolo jednotky Robotech Expeditionary Force, která vede závěrečnou bitvu s mimozemskou rasou Invid, která obsadila planetu Zemi. Postupně se dozvídáme, že hlavním nepřítelem není Invid, ale něco zcela neočekávaného. Zpracování je kombinací klasické 2D animace a kompletně počítačově vytvořených scén, které ale nedosahují takových kvalit jako například APPLESEED. (AnimeFan)
