Když unikne jen jediný, bude to vítězství. Frank Sinatra jako strůjce troufalého útěku za hranice fašistické Itálie... Na sklonku fašistické diktatury Benita Mussoliniho se plukovník letectva americké armády Joseph Ryan ocitá v italském zajateckém táboře. Jako zajatec s nejvyšší hodností se stává vůdcem spojeneckých vojáků, kteří plánují útěk z tábora řízeného italským tyranem Battagliou. Po kapitulaci Itálie se podaří vězňům dostat na svobodu, záhy se ovšem ocitnou v rukou německé jednotky, která jim vystaví jednosměrnou jízdenku do Říše. Plukovník Ryan ale vymyslí plán, jak se zmocnit celé vlakové soupravy pod přísným dohledem vrchního nacistického vedení. Stačí využít vhodné příležitosti k převzetí německého expresu. Začíná zběsilá vlaková jízda za nepřátelskou linii v režii neohroženého Ryana, jehož ztvárnil hvězdný Frank Sinatra. Když se podaří dostat za hranice Itálie alespoň jednomu, bude to představovat vítězství. (Česká televize)
