Poslední dva roky se Ben (Kevin Hart), strážný ze střední školy, snaží dokázat detektivu Jamesovi (Ice Cube), že není blázen jenom do počítačových her, ale i do detektivovy sestry. Když Bena konečně přijmou na policejní akademii, James ho posadí na místo spolujezdce služebního auta, aby ho pořádně vystrašil a ukázal mu, že na práci u policie nemá. Události divoké noci je ale zavedou k nejnebezpečnějšímu zločinci ve městě a James na vlastní kůži pozná, že Ben nemá od prudkých slov daleko k činům. (Bontonfilm)
