Ross se marně pokouší vysvětlit Rachel, proč nezařídil rozvod: děsí ho představa, že bude žít s "nálepkou tří rozvodů" a žádná žena si ho již nikdy nevezme za manžela. Chandler řekl Joeymu, že bude bydlet u Moniky. Joey se s tímto vysvětlením nechce za žádnou cenu smířit. Monika se obává, že Rachel také nepochopí, proč si má hledat nový byt. Ross konečně navštívil právníka. Ale není to vůbec jednoduché. Kromě řady dokumentů, které má příště přinést s sebou, však u rozvodu musí být přítomna také manželka. (TV Nova)
