Muži Lionela Luthora najdou v jeskyních neznámý předmět. Kvůli tomu pozve Lionel do jeskyní profesora Willowbrooka a jeho pomocníka Jeremiaha Holdsclawa. Jeremiah sebere předmět, zničí ho a vytáhne posvátnou dýku. Ta mu dá nadpřirozené schopnosti. Díky tomu se mu podaří utéct. Vypadá to, že jediný, kdo Jeremiaha může zastavit, je Clark. (Varan)
