William Moseley se narodil 27.4.1987 v Anglii ve znamení Býka. Je synem anglického kameramana Petera Moseleyho. V roce 2002 si zahrál v televizním filmu Goodbye, Mr. Chips.

William se stal známým díky filmu Letopisy Narnie: Lev, čarodějnice a skříň, který režíroval Andrew Adamson. Vedoucí castingu Pippa Hall si jej poprvé všimla během hledání hereckého obsazení televizního filmu Cider with Rosie. Tehdy roli nedostal, avšak Hall na jeho herecký talent nezapomněla a o pět let později mu nabídla roli Petra v Letopisech Narnie.

V létě 2008 vstoupí do kin pokračování Letopisů Narnie, s podtitulem Princ Kaspian, ve kterém si William roli Petra zopakuje.
