Většina z Bondových dívek, to byly takové ty „blondýny“. To já „blondýnou“ nikdy nebyla. Blackmanová pochází čtyř dětí. Narodila se v Plaistow, ve východolondýnském správním obvodě Newham. Otec byl statistik, matka v domácnosti. Za hereckou kariéru vděčí právě svému otci, který jí dal k patnáctinám možnost si vybrat - kolo nebo hodiny přednesu. Vybrala si druhou možnost. - Jméno kočky Kitty Galore je připomínkou "bondovky" Goldfinger (1962), kde se bondgirl jmenovala Pussy Galore (Honor Blackman). Šéf kočičí tajné služby se jmenuje Lazenby po představiteli agenta 007 Georgi Lazenbym. (ČSFD)
