Herečka známa ako Anne Shirley sa narodila roku 1918 v New Yorku ako Dawn Evelyn Paris. Otec jej zomrel, keď bola ešte dieťa, a tak spočiatku žila so svojou matkou veľmi skromne. Ako štvorročná debutovala v celovečernom filme Moonshine Valley (1922) pod menom Dawn O'Day. Spolu s matkou sa presťahovali do Kalifornie, kde pokračovala v natáčaní filmov. Podľa titulnej hrdinky filmového prepisu románu Lucy Maud Montgomeryovej Anne of Green Gables z roku 1934 prijala… (více)
