Demi Mooreová a Woody Harrelson se představují v rolích Diany a Davida Murphyových, milenců ze střední školy, kteří se vezmou a v životě si vedou velmi dobře - Diana je úspěšná realitní makléřka a David zase idealistický architekt, který postavil vysněný dům u oceánu. Pak ale udeří recese. David je náhle bez práce a oni už si tak nadále nemohou dovolit splácet hypotéku. Půjčí si proto od Davidova otce 5 000 dolarů a vydají se do Las Vegas, aby se pokusili vyhrát peníze na zaplacení půjčky. Zpočátku mají štěstí a získají 25 000 dolarů, ale protože kasino vždycky nakonec vyhraje, mladí manželé o všechno přijdou. Zatímco se Diana pokouší ukrást sladkosti v luxusním butiku, všimne si jí miliardář John Gage (Robert Redford), kterého okamžitě uchvátí. John pozve Dianu a Davida na opulentní večírek, kde nabídne Davidovi milion dolarů za jednu noc s jeho ženou. (Cinemax)
