Přičinlivý pokladní v supermarketu Vince Downey byl již sedmnáctkrát vyhlášen zaměstnancem měsíce. Kdyby se mu opět podařilo zvítězit, byl by povýšen do managementu a získal by auto. Doplňovač zboží Zack Bradley je naopak neambiciózní, chodí pozdě a s kamarády se snaží přežít pracovní dobu v co největším klidu. Vedoucí Glenn Gary zaměstnancům jednou oznámí, že nastoupí nová pokladní Amy. Líbí se jak Vinceovi, tak Zackovi. Zack se dozví, že má slabost pro zaměstnance měsíce. Rozhodne se, že tentokrát vyhraje. Snaží se získat místo pokladního. Dostane první hvězdičku a začíná bodovat. Když jedna z pokladních zemře, vedoucí ho pošle na její místo. Vince se ho různými podrazy snaží shodit. Zack pomalu dělá kariéru, ale ztratí kamarády i Amy, která se dozví, že vše dělá jen proto, že se dozvěděl o její náklonnosti k zaměstnancům měsíce… (TV Prima)
