Klára (Mackenzie Foy) chce jediné, a to je klíč – takový, který otevře skříňku, ve které se skrývá dar od její zesnulé matky. Zlatá nit, kterou napne její kmotříček Drosselmeyer (Morgan Freeman) o Štědrém večeru, ji k tomu klíči zavede – jenže ten v mžiku zmizí do záhadného a fantastického paralelního světa. Právě tam se Klára setká s vojákem a louskáčkem Filipem (Jayden Fowora-Knight), armádou myší a regenty, kteří spravují tři říše: Říši sněhových vloček, Říši květů a Říši sladkostí. Klára s Filipem musí vstoupit do Čtvrté říše, kde panuje krutá Perníkářka (Helen Mirren), získat Klářin klíč a pokud to bude možné vrátit nestabilnímu světu harmonii. (Falcon)
