Bláznivá akční komedie, v níž vystupují zároveň animovaní i živí herci. Ve filmovém studiu vyhrál svůj boj o popularitu animovaný králík Bugs nad kačerem Daffym a vedení studia uložilo mladé ženě Kate, své programové ředitelce pro komedie, aby se Daffyho zbavila. Daffy je tedy vyhozen ze Studia, zároveň s mladým mužem DJ Drakem - dále jen "Dýdžejem", který tu by v ochrance. Dýdžej má ale slavného otce Damiána Drakea, který jako herec hrál nespočet špionů, ale ve skutečnosti jeho herectví byla jen zástěrka, je to superšpion. Vyhozený a rozhněvaný Daffy se pořád drží Dýdžeje a jedou spolu na cesty. Dýdžej dostal informaci, že jeho otec je vězněn, protože byl na stopě diamantu Modrá opice, který má tu moc, že z lidí dokáže udělat opice a naopak. Po Modré opici jdou padouši, firma, která díky ní chce ovládnout svět. Ve Studiu zatím přišli na to, že Daffy nebyl tak špatný, že popularita filmů bez něj klesá, a Kate proto hrozí vyhazov, jestli Daffyho nepřivede. Kate se podaří Dýdžeje s Daffym najít a bude jejich společnicí v bláznivém hledání diamantů i při záchraně Dýdžejova otce. Jejich pomocníky budou animovaní i živí herci, stejně tak jako na straně padouchů účinkují animovaní i živí padouši, schopní nespočtu převleků a proměn. Naše hrdiny vede cesta hrací karty, která má mít nějaký význam při hledání diamantu, do heren v USA, do záhadných laboratoří kde se experimentuje se zmizením hmoty, i živé hmoty, do pařížského Louvru za úsměvem Mony Lisy, do africké divočiny za diamantem...
