Ginger Rogers, narozena 16. 7. 1911, jako Virginie Katherine McMath, byla americká herečka, tanečnice a stepařka. Svou matkou byla vychována jako konzervativní republikánka. Leloa Owens McMath Rogers, byla vědeckou pracovnicí, novinářkou, scenáristkou, filmovou producentkou. Byla to velmi emancipovaná žena, a měla celý život na Ginger neuvěřitelný, až zhoubný vliv. Dcera se jí podřizovala téměř ve všem, a snad také proto nemělo žádné z manželství Rogersové dlouhé… (více)
