Drevorubača Christiana Zaka v amazonskom dažďovom pralese zachráni mladá víla Crysta, a to tak, že ho zmenší na svoju veľkosť. Víla, bohužiaľ, nedokáže Zaka už zväčšiť späť na pôvodnú veľkosť, a tak musí Christian žiť medzi obyvateľmi pralesa, Pipsom, Battym Kodom a ďalšími. A to mu umožní zistiť, aký dopad na ich život majú necitlivé zásahy človeka priame aj nepriame. Christian sa spolu s Crystou rozhodnú prales zachrániť, ale zdá sa, že už je neskoro.
