Letci z Tuskegee byli za druhé světové války slavnou americkou leteckou jednotkou složenou z Afroameričanů. V té době v americké armádě stále existovala rasová segregace a černoši byli považováni za lidi podřadné, neschopné ovládat složité stroje, vhodné pouze k pomocným úkolům. Prvního kurzu se v červenci 1941 účastnilo třináct afroamerických kadetů. V příštích čtyřech letech byli letci vysláni na více než patnáct tisíc bojových misí po Evropě a severní Africe. Tito hrdinové tedy bojovali nejen proti Hitlerovi, ale i s předsudky své vlastní země, za kterou někteří i položili život. (TV Nova)
