TRON: LEGACY je 3D high-tech dobrodružství zasazené do digitálního světa, který je úplně odlišný od čehokoli, co jste již na velkém plátně viděli. Sama Flynna, 27letého rebela, pronásleduje záhadné zmizení jeho otce Kevina Flynna, muže, který byl kdysi známý jako největší světový tvůrce videoher. Když Sam objeví záhadný signál poslaný ze staré Flynnovy arkády – signál, který mohl být jenom od jeho otce – zjišťuje, že se ocitl v digitálním světě, kde byl Kevin uvězněn po 20 let. S pomocí nebojácné válečnice jménem Quorra, se otec a syn vydávají na cestu, která jim může přinést život nebo smrt, cestují po vizuálně fantastickém cyber vesmíru – vesmíru, který stvořil sám Kevin, a který se stává modernějším s vozidly, zbraněmi a krajinami, které si nikdy před tím nedokázal představit a nelítostným zloduchem, který se nezastaví před ničím, jen aby znemožnil jejich útěk.
