Rodák z Mississippi, ale duší Newyorčan se může pyšnit venezuelskou krví po matce a japonsko-německým původem po otci. Fred možná působí jako tichošlápek, ale ve vteřině se dokáže změnit v Baracka Obamu nebo temperamentního Dominikánce. Proto není divu, že se jednoho dne rozhodl ukončit School of Visual Arts v New Yorku, vydat se na dráhu bubeníka a jiný den zavítat pro změnu do televize, kde zůstal.
